Facebook page: Sarah O'Neill Designs Wedding Invitations

A personal note from Sarah O'Neill

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at the stationery designs I offer. I'm honoured and pleased that you are considering choosing my services for one of the most important days of your life.

I have been designing and producing wedding stationery for over 20 years now, and for me it's one of the most rewarding things I can imagine doing. It's such a pleasure when people find my stationery collections for the first time and tell me they have found something very special and exactly right for their wedding.

My first invitation was designed for my own wedding in 1991. My husband and I, former teenage pen pals (I'm from America, he's from Scotland) were married in the countryside of upstate New York after corresponding for seven years. Having trained as a graphic designer, I knew what I wanted for my invitations wouldn't be out there in the mass-produced volumes of stationery available at the time. So I designed the very first Celtic Heart. Using that card as a beginning, the business was established in 1993 after I moved to the UK, and demand for the cards has been growing steadily ever since. I now work from a studio at home set in the lush and beautiful countryside of the Scottish Borders.

Great care and time is taken in designing the cards themselves and choosing the paper, envelopes, and the paints that go into making up each invitation. I believe in concepts like endurance, authenticity, and uniqueness: these are qualities which never go out of fashion. I know from personal experience and correspondence with hundreds of satisfied customers that the cards I make are not only a special part of a wedding day, but are also treasured in the years to come. In an era where emphasis is placed on the disposable and the item with a limited life, I quietly take pride in the hope that my cards, like true love, will stand the test of time.
